There was a beautiful piece of exotic canary wood in my shop. So, as woodworkers do, I started working with it to find the design that was hidden within it. I ended up hand-carving this salt and pepper pinch (and have since made many more).
As COVID was sweeping the US in early 2020 requiring varying levels of social distancing, I was contracted by a start up company in the cannabis space in need of custom carpentry services to create the design and facings for vending machines for retail. The machines were first deployed in Colorado and were located at dispensaries to allow access while limiting contact.
This one is just for fun. As a woodworker with a mission to be the coolest uncle, I created an 8' x 8' rock climbing wall for my young nieces and nephews in their garage. The kids are now traversing the walls and I'm working on how to top this for next Christmas.
